I refuse to make this blog a constant whine about the weather. I live in Northwestern Ontario, grew up here, so when I decided to settle in this town I knew what I was getting into weather wise.
That being said - I often wonder why I didn't move to California when I had a chance. A bum on Venice beach is probably an underrated occupation.
When you live in Northwestern Ontario it's easy to be cold but it's tough to stay cool. I want to stay connected with the wider world. I used to be in the know, passionate and interested and lately I find myself absorbed in details that are probably insignificant. I'm trying to find my own place within the global community while staying grounded in familiar surroundings.
Maybe a good way to do that is to start publishing what's going on around me, show people why I've chosen my life here and expand my reach via readers (hopefully?) and a blogging network.
